Saturday update...

Its late Saturday Morning and I am planning my day of unnecessary spending. I have a couple of errands to run today, go to the bank and deposit a check, go to Kohl's to return something and spend the $10 of Kohl's cash before it expires. There are a few items I need from the grocery store (basic staples) so a list was made based on the dinner menu I created with the freezer and pantry items. Still on the freezer pantry, feels like I have been on this forever. Speaking of this, I had challenged a few people with this idea; some said they would be on board, but one said that they weren't able to it. If they ate only from the pantry and freezer they would pass up on sales on these basic items and wouldn't be saving money in the long run. Well I say do what you feel is best for you and your financial life.

Anyways back to my life..lol. I also will be contemplating a lunch menu for myself for the week and my daughter. Since I have been bring my lunch to work 4x a week, I found recipes for "gourmet" lunch wraps and sandwiches; since I have most of the items at home, lunch has been very good and not just filled with leftovers from last nights dinner.

To keep myself busy this weekend, I am going to clean out my car, the trunk is very busy, vacuum it out at home, then take it for the free car wash I have saved for a non-rainy day!. I also have to put the new wipers on. That reminds me at the end of March, I had all my tires on my car replaced and then rec'd a free oil change. Afterwards I notice how well my car was driving and this past week I noticed that my gas mileage increased. I found a great website that helps you maintain the maintenance and mileage of your car. I still will be writing in tiny notebook every time I gas up my car, I write down the date, mileage, gallons purchased and total amount. I will post the newly found website on the blog to the right. Just remember, oil change every quarter along with a tire change this will keep your metallic baby running smooth for years to come.

So back to the weekend, I also will have the daunting task of cleaning and decluttering out my bedroom closet. I hope I do not go in and end up in Narnia, lolol j/k. My closet is small but is not being used wisely. In a previous post I spoke about how clutter steals from you, well the other day I found plastic eggs that I use for my daughter's Easter basket. This year I had spent $$$$ purchasing the same plastic eggs. If I was a bit more organized, I would have known about the eggs and would not have to buy them!
